Welcome to Silky Silhouette Shih Tzu! I first started this venture, by meeting my wonderful husband, who was crazy about the Shih Tzu. I never was raised with having any sort of pet in the house, my dad believed and still does, that pets belong outside. My husband got me my first Shih Tzu,12 years ago, his name was Napoleon,a parti- colored Shih Tzu, We called him called Po Po. He past away about 4 years ago, I still miss him. My husband and I started looking around for a female Shih Tzu and found Ellie, my first girl, so spunky, then I was hooked.
First of all my dogs are my family first, they are not kenneled, they live in the house with us, yes, all 9 of them. Shih Tzu can't tolerate extreme temperatures. They even have their own room, they go to bed at a certain time every night. They go with us to pet stores, parks, and friend's houses.
We even have a pool in the backyard, and everyone of our babies , will end up in the pool,at one time or another. we like to spend quality time with each or our girls and boys.
First off, IF you are looking for a "CHEAP" or "BARGAIN" puppy, this is not the site for you. We spend great amount of time and money on our SHIH TZUS'! Beautiful top quality Shih Tzu are raised here at Silky Silhouette! Each puppy is thoroughly checked by our vet right after birth, and throughout puppy development. This is not cheap to do , but we strive to produce the healthiest babies possible!
When it comes time for my girls to retire, I do not breed them after the age 5, if I have room they will stay, but if I can find them just the right home for my baby, then and only then I will place them, if not they will gladly stay here forever.
I do have 2 wonderful sons, 19 and 20, one is in the Air Force and my youngest is in college and still lives at home.
I started researching and studying about the genetics, and what is common in the Shih Tzu. I then started looking for just the right females and males to start my program. I love what I do, and I love sharing this with others. I breed for AKC conformation, quality, personality and good health. I do this for the love of the breed . I try to stay with in reason on my prices on my puppies. Any money from puppy sales goes back into my program to ensure
healthiest babies possible.
Each one of my babies are on Frontline Plus, Heartguard Plus, Nuvet vitamins, and I feed them Eukanuba, which my girls love and I can't change it.
References are available to you, and I will be here long after you bring your baby home, I love pictures, and would love to be kept updated on your new family member. I take pride in my Tzu, and enjoy every minute of what I do. My babies have beautiful smooshy faces, awesome coats, sweet personalities and short cobby bodies. With the help of some incredible mentors, I been able to put an spectacular breeding program together. All of my babies are AKC registered.
